关于此地
东关街是扬州最具历史底蕴的街道,全长近1.1公里,穿越古城中心。可追溯至唐朝,是扬州作为中国最富庶城市黄金时代的主要商业动脉。街道两侧排列着清朝商人宅邸、会馆和民居——每处都有精雕木屏和石板庭院。50余栋历史建筑完整保存至今,包括附近的范宅和数座盐商大宅。
游客到来前的清晨漫步全街。保存最完好的路段在中段——寻找带有原始雕花木板的老式店铺门面。内部的徐宁波会馆极为精彩。在百年老店购买传统扬州糕点——尤其是芝麻糖和桂花糕。
从头走到尾,走完全街。至少进入一处修缮后的商人宅邸,感受庭院格局。在正宗百年摊贩处购买传统扬州糕点。寻找标记古唐朝城门的石碑。
